Night and day was defined based on the light from Sun. Our life revolves around when Sun rises and sets. People defined days, time, calendar all based on it. We based our celebrations based on that so called calendar cycle starting with birthdays and every other celebrations.

What if a day comes when dark is no longer dark. If everyone can see as if it is day when you go outside. What if we let our vision sensors to think it is day and we can see everything as normal.

That day is not far. With advancements in computer vision, we can rebuilt what we see with very little light available around like moon light or far way light sources or even without that using Lidar.

This is a picture i took last day when it was very dark. I could hardly see what is around me but my phone can see it well.

iPhone 12 pro with Lidar

If phones already have this ability, how soon is it going to be in all the eye wears or even embedded in our eyes to recreate the world using AI. We may start wearing sun glasses to see in the dark.

We may call it The Dark Glasses.

Imagine a world when it never gets dark, a world when Sun will never Set…
